Abstract

Anchoring a phosphine and an enantiopure camphorpyrazole tether to an arene (PArN*) yields, after η6:η1:η1 coordination to ruthenium, [{η6:η1:η1-(PArN*)}RuL]2+ as a 1:1 mixture of diastereomers. These were separated and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The structure of the R,RP,SRu diastereomer is depicted.
