Abstract
272 Between 3500 and 2400 BC cal considerable changes of the importance of cultivated plants are observed in the northern Alpine foreland. The importance of tetraploid naked wheat and opium poppy is declining whereas glume wheat, mainly emmer, and flax become more and more important. We hypothesise that these changes are due to changing cultural influence spheres. However, many of the changes are not traceable properly, due the very heterogeneous and partly very poor state of research in the area
