Abstract
Artificial metalloenzymes offer an interesting, biomimetic, "bottom-up" approach to catalyst design, which allows the use of methodologies normally outside the realm of inorg. chem. (e.g., the purposeful application of Darwinian principles). Here, the authors focus on artificial metalloenzymes that are based on biotin-avidin technol.
