Abstract
This book analyzes how the WTO legal system deals with unilateral trade regulations implemented to pursue social policies such as environmental protection or human rights. Drawing lessons from the numerous "trade-&" cases before the WTO, the author demonstrates the wider effects the prohibition on the use of trade sanctions has for the development of a cosmopolitan international legal system.
