Abstract
The presence of Adesmia aberrans in the massif Tassili’n’Ajjer (South Algeria) is confirmedbased on observations made in November 2006. The particular morphological characteristics of thespecies are highlighted, and the major features to separate it from Adesmia biskreensis Lucas, 1844ssp. recticollis Peyerimhoff, 1931 are given. The study also reports some ecological and behaviouralobservations of A. aberrans, and some comparisons are made with Adesmia biskreensis ssp. recticollis.Finally, the populating of Adesmia species in Tassili’n’Ajjer is revisited based on data available in thescientific literature.
