Abstract
Mortar samples from walls of different periods (late roman - medieval) were taken in collaboration with the Université de Bordeaux (Petra Urbanova, Claude Ney, Pierre Guibert, CNRS-IRAMAT) in order to be used as a test case for a newly developed mortar dating method. This method uses optically stimulated luminescence to measure when sand grains were last bleached by sunlight.
