Abstract
Why are influenza vaccination rates among health care workers, particularly nurses, so low? What can be done about it? Because of the threat influenza poses to vulnerable patients, should the influenza vaccination be the required default position for all health care workers? Where do the requirements of the Health and Safety Act fit? This article considers these issues.
