Abstract
After a report of clinical knowledge on parents of chronically ill children the author presents findings of research work on the personality of parents with children suffering from either hemophilia or juvenile diabetes mellitus or physical handicaps. Data were collected in a control-group design and revealed heterogeneous personality patterns. These results should prevent stereotypes in the diagnostic process.
