Abstract
Clippings of photographs taken by nuclear physicist and electrical engineer Anatole M. Gurewitsch show his departure with his family to his new job in Switzerland, leaving New York on July 21, 1956 to Algeciras, Cannes, Genoa, and Naples on under Captain Ernest H. Nelson SS Constitution. Twenty years earlier, Gurewitsch, of Russian-Jewish origin, had embarked in November 1936 in Cherbourg, bound to New York.
